In 2022, an illustration of a Black fetus in-womb sparked a global conversation around representation in healthcare. And when less than 5% of medical images show dark skin – this one single illustration inspired a movement that intends to change the historical lack of representation, one image at a time.
Earlier this week, Deloitte Digital announced the launch of Illustrate Change, a project in collaboration with Johnson & Johnson that seeks to build momentum around representation in medical illustration. This session will discuss how Illustrate Change came to be and its future.
